Miry Clay

The phrase miry clay only appears three times in the Bible. Twice it is used in the context of Daniel's interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar's vision of the statue, which we know to be the four kingdoms that ruled or will rule the earth prior to the return of Yeshua Ha'Mashiyach, the Lord Jesus Christ. The first occurrence, known to define terms in the Scripture, is from a Psalm of David, thanking the Lord for deliverance. Psalm 40 proceeds to worship the Lord for His wonderful works, and is a declaration of love and adoration for His gift of the Holy Spirit filling the heart of the believer.

The use of this term later in Daniel adds depth to the revelation that David describes in Psalm 40.

Rescuing the soul that is stuck in the mud.

22 Meditations on Psalm 119, PART 4
DALETH. (Psalm 119:25-32)
25My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken Thou me according to Thy Word.

“My soul cleaves unto the dust.”  The Hebrew word for dust here can also mean clay, earth, or mud.  The mud is where the world spends its time, and if you step outside of the Word too long it can suck you in like quicksand.  That is why the Lord warns us not to be conformed to the world: the flow of this world system will suck you in if you let it, and carry you straight down the drain. (Rom 12:2)  When your soul is stuck in the mud, meditating on God’s word is the key to revival and restoration.  It will quicken, or make alive, your mind, will, and emotions.  It will strengthen you, and as you renew your perspective toward God His testimonies come back into view.  He is the Faithful Potter.  He will transform you by the power of His testimonies, and you are able to stand up and declare your ways before God, Who hears our cries and responds by teaching His ways on a deeper spiritual level. (Psa 119:26)

What is the Chaff to the Wheat?

Jeremiah 23:33-40

33 And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the LORD? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the LORD. 34 And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house. 35 Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour, and every one to his brother, What hath the LORD answered? and, What hath the LORD spoken? 36 And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more: for every man's word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God. 37 Thus shalt thou say to the prophet, What hath the LORD answered thee? and, What hath the LORD spoken? 38 But since ye say, The burden of the LORD; therefore thus saith the LORD; Because ye say this word, The burden of the LORD, and I have sent unto you, saying, Ye shall not say, The burden of the LORD; 39 Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you, and I will forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out of my presence: 40 And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.

Whom the Son Sets Free is Free Indeed

Jericho Daily Liberty Weekend

It has been nearly a year since the Lord birthed the whole Jericho Daily concept in my spirit.  In that time He has ministered to me many different ways that it can be applied.  In order to continue to build on this He has instructed me to make the first book available for free, while He ministers to me the completion of the second book.  From June 29th through July 2nd, Jericho Daily: A Journey Into Personal Prophecy will be available for free on the Amazon website.

In addition, he has led me to post the following excerpt from the preface to the second book, Jericho Daily: Walking with God.

The ascendancy of mankind is only by the grace of God.  Learning to walk in the flesh is no small accomplishment for an infant.  Walking in the Spirit is an impossible task for the infant nature of mankind.  That is why God has empowered us with His Holy Spirit.  We are to become His

Joshua 6:26

And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the LORD, that rises up and builds this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it.

Use the weapons the Lord has provided to tear down every stronghold in your life. Once you have done this, guard your heart and keep them torn down.

2Corinthians 10:3-6
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
The Lord calls us to a warfare that is real, and entirely unique.  The warfare He has called us to takes place in the heart and soul of man, and it begins in your own heart and soul when you respond to His call.

Hebrews 10:16-22

16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. 18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. 19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 By a new and living way, which He hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh; 21 And having an high priest over the house of God; 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

God has pitched His tabernacle within us, in our hearts. This is the innermost place of worship that He has chosen, where He desires to embed His laws and empowers us to keep His every commandment. It is here that His promise is fulfilled: for Jesus Christ promised that He

A deeper revelation of our benefits and authority in Christ.
22 Meditations on Psalm 119, PART 3

GIMEL. (Psalm 119:17-24)
17Deal bountifully with Thy servant, that I may live, and keep Thy word.

In the last post we saw that walking with God will lead to His progressive cleansing of our hearts and restoration of our souls. Remember that God has the same goal that He has always had for mankind: to be made in His image. This is our reasonable service. (Rom 12:1-3) The Lord Jesus paid the ultimate price for our sins, pouring out His Godhood and His soul in order to restore mankind to the Father. Now the LORD God only requires that we dedicate our lives to Him, walking in the gifts and calling that He placed upon our lives, and He will lovingly nurture us and bless us as only our heavenly Father can. He will indeed deal bountifully with His servants, as we keep His word and receive His abundant life. Miracles unfold and intricate concepts are made plain and simple as we progress in our walk with Him, and this will make us seem alien to those who are not. (Psa 119:18-19) Still our minds, wills, and emotions are straining to hear the next deep revelation that His word has to offer. It is a hunger and thirst that only He can satisfy.

Restoration for marriage, family, and the church.

22 Meditations on Psalm 119, PART 2
(To follow along from the beginning, please read this first: ALEPH)

BETH. (Psalm 119:9-16)
9Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to Thy word.

In the first post of this series, the Lord established that believers must be immersed in the Word of God. This is essential to a successful walk with Him. Now we see God's perspective on the result of this diligence: we are cleansed by our immersion in His Word. (Eph 5:25-27) Indeed, God's view of this process is central to His concept for marriage, the family, and the church. By paying attention to His Word, obeying His commandments, and walking in His ways, we are sanctified in a manner that only He can execute. This is our preparation to interact with Him on the most intimate level, whereby we are made ready to fit into His plan for us, and afterward to fit into His master plan for the ages. (Eph 2:19-22) This plan includes the distinct pleasure of becoming His dwelling place; a glorified, living, breathing temple of the LORD. Glory to God!

This cleansing and sanctification is not superficial: it takes place within the deepest recesses of the heart. (Psa 119:10-11) That is why there must be a daily level of commitment that devotes time to seeking God and listening for His response. The parable of the sower describes this process in the Lord's terms of seedtime and harvest. (Mat 13:3-9; Gen 8:22) We receive the word into our hearts and it changes us, and in so doing we grow and bear fruit. The soil of our hearts is where we "take heed", by receiving the incorruptible seed of God's Word and letting it work. (1Pe 1:22-23) In order for this transformation to take place we must submit to the Lord with meekness, refusing to defend ways of thinking that do not conform to His way. (Mat 13:18-23) So we have to thrust aside the sinful human tendency to justify ourselves, and let the only Just and Holy Judge perform His work in tearing down strongholds. The end result is a level of maturity and liberation that results in delight in walking with God; meditating on His way of doing things that brings real peace, and keeping His testimonies. (Psa 119:14-16)

This brings me to a word on testimonies. Simply stated, our testimony is a statement of God's Truth as it applies to our lives. Scripture also states that "the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy." (Rev 19:10) (You may notice that I have altered the King James translation by capitalizing the "s" in this passage.) The word of God says that the Holy Spirit does not testify of Himself, but speaks to us what He hears. (John 16:13) Just the same way Jesus spoke only what He heard the Father say, and only did what He saw the Father do, the Holy Spirit now speaks what He hears Jesus say. (John 12:49; John 5:19) That is how we are to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, as our Comforter and guide, as though Jesus Himself is walking and talking with us on a daily basis, and indeed even moment by moment. That is precisely what God intended when He spoke, through Moses, that He would not fail nor forsake the children of Israel, and then reaffirmed this through the Apostle Paul. (Deut 31:6-8; Heb 13:5-6) So in truth, our testimony of Truth is our own reaffirmation that Jesus is our resurrected Lord and Savior, Who dwells in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, Who was given to us by God. Therefore we are given the Spirit of prophecy, for this is the testimony of Jesus. We have been ordained by God, when we are walking with Him to the fullest and we are seeking Him diligently at all times, to receive the full authority that Jesus gave to the original disciples, the same authority that God intended for Adam and all mankind. This is the path to being transformed into His image. This path of cleansing restores us to childlike innocence, and that is essential in receiving restoration of our human soul to the things of God. Praise the LORD!

Rev 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy.

Luke 10:21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in Spirit, and said, I thank Thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that Thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in Thy sight.

The weapons of our warfare to defeat the spirit of the world.

STRONGHOLDS, IMAGINATIONS AND HIGH THINGS. This is the central focus of the Jericho Daily concept.

ALEPH. (Psalm 119:1-8)

1Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.

What does it mean to be undefiled in a world where ones senses could be constantly assaulted with impurity? The media constantly flood the airwaves and print with defiled thinking, to the point where many fail to recognize it as they are so desensitized to it. The devil has not changed his original strategy of introducing doubt and unbelief into the human mind with regard to the Word of God. This is a direct challenge to faith in God, without which it is impossible to please Him. (Heb 11:6) Satan has been practicing his tactics for many centuries, and as he is the prince of the power of the air (which includes the airwaves), he has taken full advantage of modern technology to advance his evil agenda. It is essential for the believer to respond to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, and to keep in mind that every piece of technology can be turned off when it is a source of defilement. This selection process is similar to the parable of the wheat and the tares, with one major difference: we can easily send the defiling information to the threshing floor to be discarded, without tearing up the pure information that the Lord wants us to receive. (Mat 13:24-29) As we stay in tune to the Holy Spirit, He will lead us and guide us in this process.

The exchange between Eve and the serpent in the Garden of Eden is the pattern for the way the devil attacks mankind now. In order to defile the soul of God's people, the devil will attempt to twist God's word and get us to accept concepts that are not from God. To remain undefiled the believer must be immersed in the pure word of God. This is the primary way that we can know and understand God, His laws, and His will. Time spent in the word every day, at the beginning of each day, is essential to keeping oneself unspotted by the world. This is the diligence that God requires. (Psa 119:4) When we do this, we can quickly identify the false doctrines that the devil sprinkles into the word to try to subvert it. God's Word (Christ), written on our hearts, will rise up as the sword of the Spirit, and we can then defeat every lying stronghold.

It would be very dangerous, even presumptuous, to suggest that this is anything but a process. It begins at the rebirth of our spirit and continues outward into our soul, inspiring our mind, will, and emotions to new levels of faith in walking with God. But never be deceived into believing that you do not have an active part in this process. We as believers must continue to practice these things on a regular basis. (2Co 10:3-6) As we submit to the Holy Spirit, the Lord will identify areas that we need to change, and we can walk out the promises He made to us in Psalm 23. One of the greatest benefits God intends for us to receive through Christ is the restoration of our souls. As we are purified in our hearts and minds, and increasingly so for the rest of our days on the earth, we can truly receive and walk in the law of the LORD. This is the miraculous transforming power that God wants to, and WILLS to bring to bear in our lives. This is His free gift of redemption, according to His plan and purpose, by which we can inherit His original intention of being His creation, in His image. (Eph 2:8; Gen 1:26-27)

1Cor 2:12
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

I want to take a little time in this post to develop the concept of personal prophecy. If you have not read the page entitled Jericho Daily: The Book and The Concept please do so now. This is the basic scriptural foundation for the concept.

Man is a three part being, composed of spirit, soul and body. This is the way God built Adam, in His image. On the most basic level of creation, mankind is a reflection of the same aspects that comprise the LORD God. He also is a Spirit, Who has a soul and a physical body.(John 4:24; Isa 53:12; 1Cor 2:16; John 12:37-38) As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, He has given us the Holy Spirit to dwell in our hearts, so that His nature and commandments are no longer mysteries to us. In order to tap into His wisdom, knowledge, and understanding all we have to do is seek Him diligently and listen for His response. One method for doing so is praying in the Spirit in other tongues, and by faith receiving interpretations back to our understanding, in our own language. The function of prophesy is for edification, exhortation, and comfort. This basic operation I have just described is what I have chosen to call personal prophecy. Applied properly, and practiced often, a believer can receive instruction from the Lord through the Holy Spirit and apply it to every situation of life. This is an incredible tool that the Lord has given us so that we may be constantly connected to Him. By using this supernatural prayer method, we truly do abide in the True Vine. This is the fullness of what Jesus meant when He said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you", and fulfillment of His promise to send "another Comforter" to dwell in believers.
(John 14:16; Deut 31:8; Heb 13:5)

Keeping this in mind, here is another excerpt from Jericho Daily: Walking with God. In this chapter, He was interpreting His own word back to me through His Spirit, after praying in tongues. The Holy Spirit will always witness to the glory and honor and power of the Lord Jesus, so over time it becomes much easier to recognize and understand these interpretations.

Deuteronomy Walk > Redemption Washed in the Blood

Deuteronomy 5:33

33 You shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you shall possess.

Personal Prophecy

Now I have shown you the roots of My laws Jericho. These are the basis for My covenant walk with you. Know that I will do My part. That is the only Truth. See the sun rise every morning and set every night, this happens by My word. See the clouds form and witness the rain, and again the sky is clear. See the trees drop their leaves; bend in the wind; stretch forth the branches, and clothe themselves with leaves once more. Count the number of stars if you can, call them all by name. All these things belong to Me and I give them to you as a gift. I give you eyes to see and ears to hear the wonders of My word.

Adam cut you off. I sent My word to heal you and deliver you from all your destructions. I have walked through the blood to get to you, and by this act I will perform My oath to you as surely as the sun and moon and stars and planets all hold the places I ordained from the beginning. You must seal your part too. Do your blood walk through the cross. I have given you My Very Own Blood, shed on My altar as atonement for your soul. I have washed you in the water and the blood to cleanse you and reclaim you for My own. I have taken back your life out of the hands of the curse. Walk with Me through the blood of the covenant, Jericho Daily.

Jericho. Jericho. How I long to gather you under My wings. Know in your blood that the Son did arise. Keep a vigil for the Sun of Righteousness in the marrow of your bones. That is where the blood arises. With every beat of your heart the blood of the Lamb seals your life in Me. Your very heartbeat is the rhythm of My covenant flowing through you and to you.

The blood of Jesus Christ springs up in your heart, flows through your veins, and saturates your entire being. You are redeemed by My blood.

Revelation 5:9-10

9 And they sang a new song, saying:

"You are worthy to take the scroll,

And to open its seals;

For You were slain,

And have redeemed us to God by Your blood

Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,

10 And have made us kings and priests to our God;

And we shall reign on the earth."

PERFECT LAW OF LIBERTY – Part Two: Lightning Strike!

The groundwork for this discussion was first posted on Saturday, December 17, 2011 as "TREE OF LIFE – Perfect Law of Liberty". Please refer to that post before reading this one.

The perfect law of liberty is a comprehensive fulfillment of Mosaic law in the two commandments described by Jesus within Mat 22:36-40:

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

Liberty in Christ describes freedom from spiritual death through right relationship with God, by faith and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit Who dwells in the hearts of believers. It most certainly does NOT describe the twisted paths of excessive "personal liberty" that characterize the conversation (lifestyles) of wicked mankind. Without the fruit of the Spirit there is no perfection, only a long slow deterioration of morality and character that ultimately ends in an accelerating spiral of decay, similar to an aerial crash and burn. Jesus said, "I saw Satan fall like lightning." He was describing to the disciples that their hearts were experiencing a sinful type of joy. They were not being mindful of the source of their authority. (Luke 10:17-20)

Satan fell like lightning because he tried to exalt himself above God. Prior to that he had been the "anointed cherub who covers", but then iniquity was found in him. By the multitude of his merchandise he became filled with violence. (Eze 28:14-16) He chose to ignore the true source of his authority and focused on material gratification. This eventually led him to outright rebellion and an attempt to wage war on heaven.

(Rom 3:3-6) What follows is my interpretation, clearly labeled as such:

As the fallen angel attempted to approach the Ancient of Days Who is infinite light, his own darkness gathering in his heart slowed him to a standstill, as God is light and no darkness may exist in Him. (1John 1:5) Then spiritual gravity took him and slammed him back into the surface of the earth like a meteorite! The Presence of the Self-Existent One was all sufficient to repel him with the same potential energy that was stored up by the momentum of his own wicked imaginations! The impact would have driven him deep beneath the surface of the earth, creating a superheated mass of molten rock: a lake of fire. The resulting devastation of this impact thrust the planet into the chaos and confusion described in Genesis 1:2. This age will end with full restoration when Christ comes and redeems the earth from its fallen state.

Here is an excerpt from the next Jericho Daily book. Praise the LORD for His marvelous works!

Genesis Walk > Possession: The Preparation of the Gospel

Genesis 13:14-17

14 And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are—northward, southward, eastward, and westward; 15 for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever. 16 And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered. 17 Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.”

Abram and Lot were both so prosperous that the land they occupied got very crowded, and their servants began to strive over water and pasture.  Abram suggested they separate and gave Lot first choice.  He chose what seemed to be the best land: the well watered plain of Jordan, appearing even as the garden of the LORD.  The LORD instructed Abram to lift up his eyes and look around, as He renewed His covenant promise to give Him all the land, as far as the eye could see.  More importantly, he was promising to restore peace and pledging prosperity to him and his house by way of a multitude of faith-filled descendants.  He told him to seal this promise for his part by walking through the length of it and the breadth of it to possess it.

Abram went on to become the father of many nations.  Here was a step in that faith building process.  The peace walk.  The prosperity walk.  Abram took the steps God described, refused to get into strife, and through patience possessed the promise.  Shortly thereafter the LORD sealed the covenant with him by His own walk through a blood sacrifice, binding faithful Abraham, and all His redeemed, to the blood of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.  So you see Abraham became the first of God’s faithful to put on the Gospel shoes and walk in that peace.

Ephesians 2:13-18

13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, 16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. 17 And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. 18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

John 9:4-5

I must work the works of Him that sent Me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

The works of healing and deliverance are accelerating as the tribulation "night" approaches. Signs of the birth pangs in creation are all around. Be filled with the Holy Spirit and work the works of God while it is day. The night is approaching for many individuals. The body of believers will be rewarded with eternal life in the Light of glory. The days of Enoch and Elijah are near, and God is moving His church into urgent action. The people that do know their God are responding to His call.

Dan 11:31

And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate. And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

The Lord Jesus paid the price in blotting out the handwriting of the ordinances that was against us. He poured out His soul to buy us back from Death and Hades. Our lives are not our own: as His bond servants we must receive the full deliverance He afforded us and move into the greater works. The LORD God only sees Christ when He looks upon us, His seed and the travail (work) of His soul, and divides the spoil with the strong. He has poured out His soul unto death for the saints, and we will be gathered up at the rapture, delivered out of the way of the terrible "night" of tribulation.

Isa 53:10-12

Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; He hath put Him to grief: when thou shalt make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand. He shall see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied: by His knowledge shall My righteous Servant justify many; for He shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong; because He hath poured out His soul unto death: and He was numbered with the transgressors; and He bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

The short space of the prince of this world is approaching rapidly. The ruler of the darkness of this age is void of all spiritual light. Remember, as bad as things may seem at times, the second half of the Great Tribulation will make this "light affliction" pale by comparison, as the dragon will then be cast down into the earth. (Rev 12:12)

John 14:30

Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in Me.

All God's people, and Israel in particular, will pass through the floodwaters of fallen humanity that will sweep over the earth. The fires of tribulation will purge or purify, depending on where they are falling. The flames will not kindle upon the elect.

Isa 43:1-3

But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and He that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour:

The forerunners of this end time image, thrown into the fiery furnace of affliction for taking a faith stand with God, and delivered unharmed by the Lord Jesus.

Dan 3:25-27

He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire. And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.

The fulfillment of the vision for mankind is foreshadowed: the son of man visited by the Son of Man; crowned with glory and honor, and taking dominion over the works of God, in His image and as He originally intended.

Heb 2:6-7

But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him? Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and that His people Israel will turn to Him soon, as He manifests Himself to all the nations in a mighty way. As they, and we, place our faith and trust in Christ, we can walk through the fire without even getting singed. The flames will not kindle upon us.

Dan 10:18-19
Then there came again and touched me one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me, And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me.
Peace be unto the household of faith. Nothing missing, nothing broken, no lack. The Spirit is calling for the operation of the Church in the fullness of the anointing: apostles; prophets; evangelists; pastors and teachers. (Eph 4:11) God is calling for operation in the full authority that He gave to the Church through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Luke 10:19) He is calling for direct confrontation with the forces of darkness in the realm of the sky, the principalities and powers. He is calling for bold and aggressive prayer, based upon His word and leadership, to assault the rulers of the darkness of this age. He is calling for strong confessions and professions of faith that take up the sword of the spirit and directly oppose the spiritual hosts of wickedness that have attempted to usurp His authority.
The directive is this: submit to the Spirit by means of the tongue, put My Word in your mouth and I will bring it to pass. Great challenges are apparent, and greater victories are available as the Church submits to His leading in these final moments of the last days. Arise and shine, for your light has come! Take up your spiritual seat of authority. The time of restitution of all things is at hand. (Acts 3:21) The Ancient of Days has every world event in hand, every wind of change is blown by the breath of His mouth, and He is calling His Church to step up and step into the final fulfillment of His plan for the end of this age.
Dan 10:20-21
Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come. But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holds with me in these things, but Michael your prince.

And in the electric, crystalline dawn, the wind and the fountain are become one. The willow of mourning receives the water of life and the desire is the tree of life. As a mighty powerful arc that jumps across the threshold of hope, and the willow of mourning made whole beside the tree of life. The wind stirs the branches of life, and the water from the fountain drips like honey from the boughs, like rain in the desert. Out of the Living Stone proceeds the fountain. Highways in the desert leading to the nexus of the rain. Highways in the desert culminating at the intersection of the Wind and the Fountain. The Poet of our souls has written His internunciation into His body, righteousness arising afresh in the latter rain. The first campaign is complete. The Fountain springs forth from the Living Stone in the midst of the desert, watering the garden where the willow of mourning had stood. The Wind carries the water throughout the desert, living water rushing from the Fountain to refresh the willowed souls. The oasis grows in the new crystalline dawn, the Spirit abides with the pools of living water forming in the new electric dawn. The arc of the covenant flashes across the red sand, living water conducting the current of electric power to each living branch of the tree of life. Joined in electromagnetic splendor, the glory of the Lord moves in the Spirit through the branches of the tree of life. Abundant life in the latter rain. Dayspring in the rain in the desert. The first campaign is complete.

Benjamin Netanyahu: "None of us can afford to wait much longer. As prime minister of Israel, I will never let my people live in the shadow of annihilation."

LORD, I pray that Your hand is upon Benjamin Netanyahu as he makes the decision regarding a military strike on Iran's nuclear facilities. Order his steps LORD, that all Israel may know that You are their salvation, and that You are their strength in this time of trouble. (Psa 37:39)

May Your people, LORD, whom You have refined in the furnace of affliction, give You all the glory for the deliverance that is at hand. (Isa 48:10-11) May they receive Your mercy as You lead them by the streams of water. (Isa 49:10) May they know that You have graven them upon the palms of Your hands, and their walls are continually before You. (Isa 49:16) All Israel will know that You have loved them with an everlasting love, LORD, that You have gathered them, that You have ransomed them from the hand of the stronger enemy, and that You keep them as the Shepherd of the flock. When You reveal Yourself to them, LORD, they will flow to Your goodness and their soul will be as a watered garden. (Jer 31:3; 10-12) Yes, and may they understand that You will rejoice over them to do them good, and You will plant them in this land assuredly with Your whole heart and with Your whole soul. (Jer 32:41)

As the leaders of Israel call unto You, LORD, You will answer them and show them great and mighty things. (Jer 33:3) May they receive Your leading to the place and time You have prepared for Israel, when the Branch of righteousness will execute judgment and righteousness in the earth, when all Israel shall be saved and Jerusalem shall dwell safely. (Jer 33:15-16) Though the enemies of Israel come like a storm and like a cloud to cover the land, You will make Your holy name known in the midst of Israel and they will not taint Your holy name any more. The nations will all know that You are the LORD, the Holy One in Israel. (Eze 38:9; 39:7)

LORD God, Your name be blessed forever and ever, for wisdom and might are Yours. You change times and seasons; You remove leaders and You set up leaders, You give wisdom to the wise and knowledge to them that know understanding. (Dan 2:20-21) May all those who are in authority in Israel recognize Your prompting. May they all understand that You will establish Your kingdom, Lord, and You have made known in Your Word that it will stand forever. (Dan 2:44) In Jesus' name. Amen!

Dan 10:10-14

the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days

Matthew 16:18-19

And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven

Mat 11:12

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

The Greek here translated as the kingdom of heaven is basileia ouranos. It would be more literal to translate it as the realm of the sky. That is where the battle with the prince of the kingdom of Persia took place when Daniel prayed his prayer of chapter 9 and received the vision of chapter 10 in answer to that prayer.

The battle in the atmosphere still rages for dominion over the nations of the earth. It is fought with the weapons that Christ identified as the keys to the kingdom: just like Daniel, we are to pray to God, binding and loosing the angelic forces that contend for dominion over the earth. These battles take place in the realm of the sky, the heavenlies or high places indicated in Ephesians 6:12. They are won through the aggressive application of God's Word in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving. That is the violence referred to in Matthew 11:12 above. (John 18:36) We are to take back the kingdom of heaven from the demonic forces that have tried to usurp it. That is the authority that God gave us when Christ handed us the keys to the kingdom.

The first advent of the Lord was announced by John the Baptist, who operated in the spirit and power of Elijah. (Mark 9:13). Whenever the spirit of Elijah is present, the demonic spirit of Jezebel appears as opposition. So in the time of Christ the battle raged in the realm of the sky for the possession of the Promised Land, and the anointing of God on Jesus took dominion to seize the kingdom of darkness and shake it to its very foundation. The victory was won when Christ Jesus appeared within the depths of hell itself, preached the gospel to the fallen angels reserved in chains of darkness, then turned to the righteous dead held captive in Paradise and led them out, breaking open the gates of hell to enable their escape.

Soon the spirit and person of Elijah will return to the streets of Jerusalem to witness again to the manifest glory and power of the risen Christ. Together he and Enoch will witness to the imminent return of our Lord. As they fulfill their ministries, the spirit of Jezebel will once again directly oppose them in the atmosphere over Israel. Perhaps the spirit of Jezebel will be manifest through Mystery Babylon. (Rev 17:1-7) Once again the forces of darkness will attempt to encircle and annihilate the people of God, the apple of God's eye. Once again they will taste the bitter fruit of defeat, poured out from the bowls in heaven on those who would come against the anointing. The prayers of the saints, stored up in heaven and then released as the keys to the kingdom, will unlock the jealous wrath of God for His chosen people Israel, and Jezebel and the forces of Antichrist will be consumed by the flames of their own wickedness. (Isa 9:18; Isa 10:15-19) God does not desire that any should perish, but all His ways are judgment (Deut 32:4) and He has already given His Son as the only path to restoration into right relationship with Him, and He has already determined the price for rejecting Christ as Lord and Savior.

As saints of God it is time for us to operate in the spirit and power of Elijah, taking the authority that Christ bestowed upon His church. The gifts and calling of God on our lives are not to be taken lightly, and Christ did not die just to save us as individuals, but also to anoint His Body of believers to carry out the will of the Father until His return. Thereafter the saints will administer the affairs of the universe as kings and priests.

The time has come to take up the mantle of Elijah and fight the battles in the heavenly places with all zeal and wisdom. The writing is on the wall. Don't let it be said of you, "Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting." (Dan 5:25-28) The King of glory is calling out to you, to share with Him by faith the eternal weight of glory contained within the scales of His justice. (Jer 23:5-6) His promises are Yes and Amen! (2Co 1:20)

Hab 2:1-3

I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what He will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables,
that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. (Emphasis added)

That he may run that reads it. What does that part mean? We see the vision and then we are to run. Remember the first line is describing a watchman standing on the tower of a walled city. He is the sentry watching for the approach of any to the city. He is watching for the friendly forces to return from battle, or for the invited guests to arrive, or to determine when strangers are coming, whether they are friend or foe. So when he sees this vision, he is to run and inform or alert the inhabitants of the city. There is something on the horizon. There is someone approaching. He is the messenger.

In the verses above the vision is written upon tablets, so this vision was permanent and meant to be a long term watchword. When the LORD writes on tables, they are made of flesh and called human hearts. (2Co 3:3) This is His method of giving us indelible impressions of hope and faith and joy. So our part is to ensure that our hearts remain pliable to Him, that we may always read the visionary messages that He has written there.

Now when we examine Hebrews chapter 10 we see part of the verse from Habakkuk, but the vision has been replaced by the Person for whom we are to wait, the Lord of our lives Who has been written on our hearts, not with ink, but by the Holy Spirit:

Heb 10:35-39

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

So we receive the vision on our hearts. We trust that the Lord is not tarrying. We open our eyes and our ears and our hearts to receive Him, and let the vision of Jesus Christ our Lord fill us with eager anticipation. He poured out His soul unto death, so we keep this firmly fixed in our hearts when the troubles and trials of life beset us, and it seems like the vision has faded. The time is short now, the vision is approaching. The time is at hand. He is at hand, even at the door. It is time for us to run who read the vision on our hearts. It is time to sound the trumpet. Come Lord Jesus!

Heb 12:1-2

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

NUMBERS 12:2-8
2 So they (Miriam and Aaron) said, "Has the Lord indeed spoken only through Moses? Has He not spoken through us also?" And the Lord heard it.
3 (Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth.)
4 Suddenly the Lord said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, "Come out, you three, to the tabernacle of meeting!" So the three came out. 5 Then the Lord came down in the pillar of cloud and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam. And they both went forward. 6 Then He said,

6 "Hear now My words:
If there is a prophet among you,
I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision;
I speak to him in a dream.
7 Not so with My servant Moses;
He is faithful in all My house.
8 I speak with him face to face,
Even plainly, and not in dark sayings;
And he sees the form of the Lord.
Why then were you not afraid
To speak against My servant Moses?"

God spoke plainly to Moses, mouth to mouth and with the similitude, or closest possible manifestation, of face to face. He did not communicate through parables <dark sayings> with the man He appointed leader over His emerging infant nation. Aaron and Miriam, through envy of Moses' position, and judging with their eyes, decided to rebel. The LORD immediately let them know, suddenly, that their rebellion was not against Moses, but against Him. He let them know that to them He spoke through dreams or visions, but to Moses He spoke plainly. The veil was over their hearts. What men are unable to perceive about their own hearts, God sees quite clearly. This veil was lifted when Jesus died on the cross. He is the pathway by which we may approach the LORD, and He will reveal to us the motives of our own hearts. He knows us better than we know ourselves. That is the purpose of the still, small voice. (1Kings 19:11-12The indwelling of the Holy Spirit should always be a constant transformation process, from glory to glory.
(2Corinthians 3:17-18)

As the end of this age approaches and God pours out the former and latter rains, He will once again speak plainly to all mankind through Enoch and Elijah. There will be no denying that they are witnessing to the LORD: He has already promised that they will have supernatural power available to them, to back up their words. For three and a half years, no one will be able to harm them as they describe God's glory and majesty to Israel, and to the world.

Their apparent witness will pierce the bubble of dark parabolic speech and illuminate, for all nations, the veil of wickedness with the pre-dawn light of the Sun of Righteousness. Behold the early rays of glory that precede the brightness of His coming!

Heritage is not so much about where you came from, as it is about where the LORD says He is leading you. He said, "This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD." Isa 54:17

Receiving our inheritance from God is about following the lead of Jesus Christ in love, encouraging one another, and filling up these things over the course of time with energy and endurance:

Hebrews 6:10-12

"Imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises."

Matthew 25:34

It is about staying focused on the source of all blessing, and His long range goals, not our own.

1 Corinthians 15:50

It is about maintaining focus on the spiritual lives we lead, and walking in that Spirit Who dwells in us.

1 Peter 3:9

It calls for a deep commitment to look past the appearance of a matter and see Him working in the underlying fabric of existence. This is hardly as easy as it might sound, and the emotions will always try to kick in and take over, but if we keep in mind the promises and sacrifices He has made to us and for us, we can receive all the benefits of succeeding through these challenges.

Hebrews 9:15

His promises are all, "Yes" and "Amen". I keep working at keeping these things in mind, and they are starting to get down into my heart as well. Spirit, soul, and body; I want to walk in this inheritance at all times.

Ephesians 1:3-14

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace 8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, 9 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, 10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him. 11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 12 that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.

13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

Psalm 16:1-11

Psalm 37:1-40

God told His people not to use hewn stones when building His altars. The tools used in shaping stones would profane them, rendering them unfit for sacrifices. (EXO 20:24-25) The same is true of our lives: we must not interfere with His shaping, transforming process in order for it to be effectual in our lives. We must submit to the Holy Spirit as lively stones and allow Him to be the molding tool, through the word of God, that makes us suitable living sacrifices to God.

He said to build the altar for peace offering from earth, the same thing He built us from. (GEN 3:19) As we make the sacrifices of the heart and spirit that He requires, He will record His name on our hearts, and bless us with His purpose for our lives.  We are His temple, built on the foundation of Jesus Christ.

Man – Bone – Heart

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

I believe this Scripture is pointing to a progressive comparison that reveals the relationship and differences between soul and spirit in man. As we meditate on these differences and the ways soul and spirit interact I believe it will give us a deeper revelation of the word of God as it pertains to these aspects of our being. The wisdom of God revealed to our hearts: and in all our getting may we get understanding and knowledge. Here are my preliminary notes on this topic, along with Scripture references from the Kindle eBook I have just published – Jericho Daily: A Journey Into Personal Prophecy.

thoughts and intents
Intents supply motivation to action. They are the underlying substance of the thoughts of the heart. Thoughts connect actions. Actions determine the course of life.

joints and marrow
Marrow supplies blood to bone. Joint connects bone. Bone is the infrastructure of the body. (Lev 17:11)

soul and spirit
Spirit supplies life to man. Soul connects lives in relationship. Spirit is the infrastructure of life.

G5590 psuche: soul; life; heart; mind
G4151 pneuma: spirit; life; ghost

Here is a list of the Scriptures (KJV) I believe are foundational to understanding the differences between spirit and soul:

First in determining that there is a difference:
1Th 5:23; Heb 4:12; Job 7:11

Then in defining the spirit:
Rom 9:1; Rom 8:16; Mark 2:8; John 4:24; Eccl 12:7

Then in defining the soul:
Gen 2:7; Isa 53:10; Lev 4:2; Isa 53:12

Then in adding clarity to the distinction:
Lev 17:11; 1Co 15:45; 1Sa 1:15; Isa 26:8-9

The Lord has led me to begin work on the next eBook already.

John 6:63 NKJV
"It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life."

Ecclesiastes 12:7 NKJV
Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it.

God gave man spirit and it will return to Him.
The flesh profits nothing, and returns to the earth.
HOLY SPIRIT is the original, spirit man in His image. (Gen 1:26)
Soul is the mirror; the interface between spirit and physical existence. (1Cor 3:12; 2Cor 3:18; James 1:23)

Genesis 2:7 KJV
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

So, God filled dust [flesh body] with breath [imparted Spirit] and man became in His image [living soul]. As man is a spirit imparted by God, man must WORSHIP God in spirit and in truth, or a true reflection of His nature and image. No more through a glass darkly! We function in the spirit to wipe away the darkening effects of worldly corruption from the soul filter, and then we can see ourselves in Him, face to face beholding His image.
Now read:
1COR 2:9-10:
But as it is written:
"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."
But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit.
For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

The physical, flesh and blood realm [heart] cannot perceive the spiritual rewards that God has prepared for those who love Him. Man in his fallen condition cannot discern these things with the senses tuned to perceive the solid, physical realm. God reveals the underlying spiritual fabric of creation to us, through His Spirit, Who knows the deeply embedded things of God in every aspect of manifestation. The three states of the human condition - spirit, soul, and body - can be likened to the three states of matter: gas, liquid, and solid.
This also yields added understanding to Scripture referring to man as a "vapor", or gas, as this alludes to the spirit man in the essential state.

James 4:14 NKJV
For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.

The soul is the river that runs in between, the liquid state that acts as the interface between solid and gas, and is the transitional link between the two. Running to the east and the west because the transitions between them occur when temperature moves in opposite directions. The Holy Spirit ministered much of this in my spirit while I was writing the book: Jericho Daily: A Journey Into Personal Prophecy. Through interpretation of prayer in tongues He led me to connect these and other Scriptures that began to reveal a deeper understanding of the concept I am outlining here. This understanding is progressive and still developing. Please leave comments as the Spirit leads.
