DARK SPEECHES

NUMBERS 12:2-8
2 So they (Miriam and Aaron) said, "Has the Lord indeed spoken only through Moses? Has He not spoken through us also?" And the Lord heard it.
3 (Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth.)
4 Suddenly the Lord said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, "Come out, you three, to the tabernacle of meeting!" So the three came out. 5 Then the Lord came down in the pillar of cloud and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam. And they both went forward. 6 Then He said,

6 "Hear now My words:
If there is a prophet among you,
I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision;
I speak to him in a dream.
7 Not so with My servant Moses;
He is faithful in all My house.
8 I speak with him face to face,
Even plainly, and not in dark sayings;
And he sees the form of the Lord.
Why then were you not afraid
To speak against My servant Moses?"

God spoke plainly to Moses, mouth to mouth and with the similitude, or closest possible manifestation, of face to face. He did not communicate through parables <dark sayings> with the man He appointed leader over His emerging infant nation. Aaron and Miriam, through envy of Moses' position, and judging with their eyes, decided to rebel. The LORD immediately let them know, suddenly, that their rebellion was not against Moses, but against Him. He let them know that to them He spoke through dreams or visions, but to Moses He spoke plainly. The veil was over their hearts. What men are unable to perceive about their own hearts, God sees quite clearly. This veil was lifted when Jesus died on the cross. He is the pathway by which we may approach the LORD, and He will reveal to us the motives of our own hearts. He knows us better than we know ourselves. That is the purpose of the still, small voice. (1Kings 19:11-12The indwelling of the Holy Spirit should always be a constant transformation process, from glory to glory.
(2Corinthians 3:17-18)

As the end of this age approaches and God pours out the former and latter rains, He will once again speak plainly to all mankind through Enoch and Elijah. There will be no denying that they are witnessing to the LORD: He has already promised that they will have supernatural power available to them, to back up their words. For three and a half years, no one will be able to harm them as they describe God's glory and majesty to Israel, and to the world.

Their apparent witness will pierce the bubble of dark parabolic speech and illuminate, for all nations, the veil of wickedness with the pre-dawn light of the Sun of Righteousness. Behold the early rays of glory that precede the brightness of His coming!
