Note on 1 Kings 21:8
So she wrote letters in Ahab’s name, and sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters unto the elders and to the nobles that were in his city, dwelling with Naboth. [2]
[2] Notice how Naboth follows the path of Jesus Christ almost “to the letter” in regards to his death. Christ was murdered at a religious festival (vs. 9) and had false witnesses against Him (vs. 10). He was betrayed by the religious and political leaders (vs. 11), accused of blasphemy (vs. 13), killed outside the city (vs. 13), and presumed to be dead (vs. 15). He only misses the “stoning” because of the Scriptures (John 19:36-37). For another type like this, see Daniel 6.

Note on Ezra 7:28 KJV
And hath extended mercy unto me before the king, and his counsellors, and before all the king’s mighty princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the LORD my God [6] was upon me, and I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me.
[6] Notice the expression, “the hand of . . . God,” used here as it is found again in Ezra 8:18, 22. The “right hand of God” is used many times in the Bible to represent Jesus Christ Himself (Psa. 17:7, 20:6, 21:8, 45:4, 48:10, 108:6, 110:5, 138:7, etc.).
