 RRB notes: Psalm 103

Psalms 103 KJV

A Psalm of David.

1. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

2. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: [1]

[1] According to modern computers, the middle verse in the Bible is not Psalm 118:8, but Psalm 103:1-2. With sixteen words in verse 1 and twelve in verse 2, the center two words would be “his holy,” with 13 words on both sides of it.

3. Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; [2]

[2] Absolutely prophetic. No Christian is healed of “all his diseases” until he gets his new body (see comments on “Whipping Post Theology” and modern charismatic “quacks” under Matt. 8:17; Rom. 8:21, 23; 1 Pet. 2:24).

4. Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

5. Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. [a]

[a] Isa. 40:31.

6. The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

7. He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

8. The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

9. He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.

10. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. [b]

[b] Ezra 9:13.

11. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

12. As far as the east is from the west, [3] so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

[3] On a globe like the earth, you can never keep going north or south; once you hit the “poles,” you are heading in the other direction. But there is no East or West Pole to change your direction. You can keep circling the globe continually travelling east, and you will still be going east (ditto travelling west).

13. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him. [c]

[c] Isa. 66:13.

14. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

15. As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

16. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.[d]

[d] Vss. 15-16 cf. James 1:10.

17. But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;

18. To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them. [4]

[4] Verses 17-18 “unseat” the idea that salvation is “by grace through faith” in all ages. In this passage, somebody inherits God’s righteousness (vs. 17) by works (vs. 18). In Eternity, this is passed from generation to generation by partaking of the Tree of Life (Rev. 22:2, 14). People inherit salvation by bloodline (see comments on Heb. 1:14, where somebody falls heir to salvation, not a kingdom).

19. The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all. [5]

[5] The perfect place for an apostate to prove that Christ began a spiritual reign from Heaven over a spiritual kingdom that is being “spread” now (Acts 2:33-35). But the verse has nothing to do with a spiritual kingdom at all. It is talking about Calvin’s famous “sovereignty of God” – an eternal kingship exercising authority over the earthly, political kingdoms of this world, as you read about in Daniel 4:34-37 and 6:25-26. But when you talk about God’s supreme rule from the throne of Heaven over the kingdoms of this world, you should always remember that God has turned over the operation of those kingdoms to the Devil (see comments on Luke 4:6 and Rom. 13:1-4).

20. Bless the LORD, ye his angels, [e] that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

[e] See note on Psa. 104:4.

21. Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

22. Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.

Comments on Heb. 1:14

Are they not all ministering spirits, [o] sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? [4]

[o] Luke 22:43; Psa. 34:7; Job 4:15-16.

[4] These “heirs of salvation” inherit salvation instead of taking it as a free gift. This is a whole nation guaranteed salvation by inheritance (Psa. 102:28, 115:12-16, 128:5-6; Isa. 59:21, 65:9, 22-23). These “heirs” inherit salvation from their parents because their parents get rid of the Adamic nature by getting access to “the tree of life” forbidden to Adam (Rev. 22:14).

Comments on Luke 4:6 KJV

And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; [1] and to whomsoever I will I give it.

[1] As “the god of this world” (2 Cor. 4:4), Satan has the powers given to “the powers that be” (Rom. 13:1). This means that the United Nations are controlled by Satan from top to bottom. It is God who delivered Europe to Charlemagne, Napoleon, and Hitler (see Jer. 27:5-8).

_______

Comments on Romans 13:1-4 KJV

1. Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers [a] that be are ordained of God. [1]

[a] 1 Pet. 2:13.

[1] The verse is telling you that every demoniac ruler who ever governed (e.g., Nero, Hitler, Stalin, Mao Tse-tung) was “ordained” by God (Dan. 4:17); even Satan was ordained to be “the god of this world” (2 Cor. 4:4). Jeremiah 43:10 says that Nebuchadnezzar, one of the greatest types of the Antichrist, was God’s “servant.” According to 1 Peter 2:17, you are to honor such men. The “catch” is that you will have to “buck” Caesar if Caesar gives you an order that directly contradicts the orders you got from God (Acts 4:19-20, 5:29). You can see examples of this in Exodus 1:15-20 (the midwives), Daniel 3:1-18 (the three Hebrew children), and Daniel 6:4-10 (Daniel).

2. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

3. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. [b] Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

[b] The verse states what a ruler should be, but realistically they are sometimes a terror to good works (see App. 118).

4. For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: [c] for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath [d] upon him that doeth evil.

[c] See note on Acts 25:11.

20. Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.

21. There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.

22. Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.

28. In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death.

Note on Prov. 4:18 KJV

But the path of the just is as the shining light, [2] that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

[2] Verses 14-19 are a good sample of the many “polarities” found in Proverbs. The Buddhist “oneness doctrine” of Yin and Yang is alien to both Testaments. In the Bible, it is either black or white, Heaven or Hell, God or the Devil. There is no integration, compromise, “concords,” or agreements with the world’s seven great paths to Hell: Roman Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, Protestantism, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism. Other examples of “polarity” in Proverbs can be found in Proverbs 9:8, 10:2-9, 14-18, 28, 30-32, 11:1-6, 17.

 RRB notes: Psalm 102

Psalms 102 KJV

A Prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed, and poureth out his complaint before the LORD.

1. Hear my prayer, [1] O LORD, and let my cry come unto thee.

[1] The heading for the prayer is a good description of it. It is: “A Prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed.” But the prophetic applications to the Second Advent still sneak through every passage. Job was a type of the Jew in the Tribulation. Instead of applying just to an individual, verses 13 and 21 put you right back on the restoration of Israel. The entire chapter is applicable directly to the Jewish nation in the Tribulation.

2. Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.

3. For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as an hearth. [a]

[a] Job 30:30.

4. My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread.

5. By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin. [b]

[b] Vss. 4-5 cf. Job 33:20-21, 19:20, 26.

6. I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert. [c]

[c] Job 30:29.

7. I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top.

8. Mine enemies reproach me all the day; and they that are mad against me are sworn against me.

9. For I have eaten ashes  [d] like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping,

[d] Job 30:19.

10. Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: for thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down. [e]

[e] Job 30:19.

11. My days are like a shadow [f] that declineth; and I am withered like grass.

[f] Job 8:9.

12. But thou, O LORD, shalt endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations.

13. Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, [g] yea, the set time, is come.

[g] Vss. 13, 16-17 cf. note on Job 42:10.

14. For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof.

15. So the heathen shall fear the name of the LORD, [h] and all the kings of the earth thy glory.

[h] Psa. 9:19-20, 96:9-10.

16. When the LORD shall build up Zion, [i] he shall appear in his glory. [j]

[i] Psa. 51:18; Acts 15:16.

[j] Second Advent (2 Pet. 1:16-19).

17. He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.

18. This shall be written for the generation to come: [k] and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.

[k] Psa. 22:30.

19. For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth;

20. To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;

21. To declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem;

22. When the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the LORD. [l]

[l] Second Advent (Zech. 8:23, 2:10-13).

23. He weakened my strength in the way; he shortened my days.

24. I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are throughout all generations.

25. Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.

26. They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: [m]

[m] See comments on Heb. 1:10-12.

27. But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.

28. The children of thy servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before thee.

Note on Job 42:10 KJV

And the LORD turned the captivity [3] of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

[3] Verses 9-13 are a type of the permanent restoration of Israel. In verse 9, God accepts Job’s prayers for his buddies just as God accepts the Gentiles through the Jews in the Millennium (Isa. 2:2-3; Zech. 8:23; App. 110). The expression found here in verse 10, “turned the captivity,” is found throughout the Old Testament, in its various forms, in reference to the restoration of Israel (Jer. 31:23, 33:7, 26; Psa. 126:1, 4, 53:6, 85:1; Deut. 30:3; etc.). And in Ezekiel 36:10-12, God multiplies the people, property, and wealth of Israel in the Millennium, just as the Lord multiplied Job’s children and wealth in verses 10-13. Of course the commentators and Bible revisers reject the interpretation of the passage as given by the Holy Spirit in Psalm 14:7.

Comments on Heb. 1:10-12 KJV

10. And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: [k]

[k] Vss. 10-12 cf. Psa. 102:25-27; see also Psa. 8:3, 19:1-6.

11. They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; [l]

[l] Vss. 10-11 cf. Isa. 51:6.

12. And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: [3] but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. [m]

[3] Verses 10-12 record the greatest “striptease” in the history of the universe, for the passage speaks of God taking off His “clothes.” His “clothes” are the physical, visible universe (Psa. 104:2, 6; Isa. 40:22). This event is described in 2 Peter 3:10-11 and Revelation 20:11. All of this means that all “environmentalists” and “rocket scientists” are thieves trying to steal God’s clothes.

Note that God’s clothes are called “a garment” and “a vesture” in this passage. These are the same words applied to the clothes taken off His Son when He was crucified naked (see note on John 19:5). Imagine the horror of those people who looked on Jesus Christ when He was naked at Calvary, when they face His Father at the White Throne Judgment.

[m] Cf. Isa. 40:28-31.

 Proverbs Chapter 11

Proverbs 11 KJV

1. A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.

2. When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.

3. The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

4. Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.

5. The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.

6. The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.

7. When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth.

8. The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead. [a]

[a] A direct reference to the Rapture of the Church and the coming of the Antichrist (1 Thess. 1:10, 5:9; 2 Thess. 2:2-3).

9. An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.

10. When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.

11. By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

12. He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.

13. A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.

14. Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

15. He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hateth suretiship is sure.

16. A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches.

17. The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.

18. The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.

19. As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.

20. They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.

21. Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: [b] but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.

[b] A doctrinal reference to the United Nations (Isa. 8:9-12; see App. 10, 63).

22. As a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.

23. The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.

24. There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.

25. The liberal soul shall be made fat: [c] and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

[c] “Fat,” a figurative expression; not being overweight.

26. He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.

27. He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.

28. He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.

29. He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.

30. The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. [1] [d]

[1] No man is truly “wise” unless he is a soulwinner (Eccl. 11:1-6; Dan. 12:3). The last thing that Jesus Christ (wisdom incarnate — 1 Cor. 1:23-24, 30; Col. 2:2-3) did before He died was win a soul to Himself (Luke 23:40-43). If Proverbs 11:30 is correct, the vast majority of Bible scholars since 1700 had no wisdom at all. Most of them never led a soul to Christ in a lifetime.

[d] Memorize.

31. Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.

 RRB notes on Psalm 100

Psalms 100 KJV

A Psalm of praise.

1. Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. [1]

[1] This verse will be fulfilled in the Millennium. It is not a reference to saved Gentiles on the mission field in the Church Age, nor was it fulfilled anywhere in the Old Testament.

2. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

3. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; [a] we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. [2]

[a] Isa. 45:12; Darwin was 100% wrong (see App. 28, 44).

[2] The immediate reference is to Israel (Ezek. 34:6-23), but it could apply to any human being. In the New Testament, the term is applied to Christians (John 10:16, 27-29; Acts 20:28-29; Heb. 13:20; 1 Pet. 5:2-4).

4. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

5. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
