Psalms 97 KJV

1. The LORD reigneth; [a] let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof.

2. Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.

3. A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about. [b]

4. His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled. [c]

5. The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. [d]

10. Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

11. Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

Note on Psa. 96:10 KJV

Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: [1] the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.

[1] Here, the Lord is on the ground reigning over the United Nations (as in vs. 13). He’s not sitting in Heaven at the White Throne Judgment; the passage has nothing to do with the last judgment. God judges the nations on this ground, on the earth (Matt. 25:31-36), 1,000 years before any “last judgment” takes place (Rev. 20:11-15).
