 RRB notes on Psalm 100

Psalms 100 KJV

A Psalm of praise.

1. Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. [1]

[1] This verse will be fulfilled in the Millennium. It is not a reference to saved Gentiles on the mission field in the Church Age, nor was it fulfilled anywhere in the Old Testament.

2. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

3. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; [a] we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. [2]

[a] Isa. 45:12; Darwin was 100% wrong (see App. 28, 44).

[2] The immediate reference is to Israel (Ezek. 34:6-23), but it could apply to any human being. In the New Testament, the term is applied to Christians (John 10:16, 27-29; Acts 20:28-29; Heb. 13:20; 1 Pet. 5:2-4).

4. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

5. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
