Psalms 113 KJV

1. Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD.

2. Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. [a]

[a] The “time” is defined in vs. 3 as the Millennium (see notes on Psa. 111:4, 100:1, 72:7, 8:1).

3. From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD’s name is to be praised.

4. The LORD is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.

5. Who is like unto the LORD our God, [b] who dwelleth on high,

[b] Exod. 8:10; Deut. 33:26; 1 Sam. 2:2; 2 Sam. 7:22; 1 Kings 8:23; 1 Chron. 17:20; 2 Chron. 6:14; Isa. 46:9; Mic. 7:18.

6. Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!

7. He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;

8. That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.

9. He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD.

Notes on Psa. 111:4 KJV

He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: [1] the LORD is gracious and full of compassion.

[1] The Lord “hath made his wonderful works to be remembered” by recording them in a Book, but that Book is only regarded by a small percentage of the world’s population during the Church Age (Mal. 3:16). The reference, here, is to the Millennium (vss. 6, 9). See Appendix 110. [Appendix 110 – The Restored Kingdom]

Notes on Psa. 100:1 KJV

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. [1]

[1] This verse will be fulfilled in the Millennium. It is not a reference to saved Gentiles on the mission field in the Church Age, nor was it fulfilled anywhere in the Old Testament.

Notes on Psa. 72:7 KJV

In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace [f] so long as the moon endureth.

Notes on Psa. 8:1 KJV

O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! [1] who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

[1] The God of Israel has never had an excellent name “in all the earth,” but He will in the Millennium under a military dictatorship where He is the King (Psa. 72:9, 110:1-7; Isa. 2:2-4, 49:22-23; Rev. 2:26-27; App. 63, 110).
