Psalms 114 KJV

1. When Israel went out of Egypt, [a] the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;

[a] Exod. 12:40-41.

2. Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.

3. The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back. [1]

[1] Applied historically to the crossing of the Red Sea (Exod. 14:21) and the Jordan (Josh. 3:15-17), and the events that happened to Israel in the wilderness (vs. 8). But right in between those two “past tense” verses (vss. 3-8) are prophecies on the Second Advent that did not take place, and will not take place until after the year 2008 (the present year).

4. The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.

5. What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?

6. Ye mountains, [c] that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?

7. Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob; [d]

[d] The commentators try to make this prophetic passage (vss. 6-7) apply to Exodus (see note on Deut. 33:2).

8. Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.

Note on Deuteronomy 33:2 KJV

And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: [c] from his right hand went a fiery law for them. [1]

[c] Path of the Second Advent — Judg. 5:4; Hab. 3:3.

[1] All apostate Fundamentalists, Conservatives, and Evangelicals apply verses 2-3, doctrinally, to the events recorded in Exodus and Numbers. They are 100% in error. Both references are references to the Second Advent.

Back in Exodus and Numbers, God certainly did not rise up from Mount Seir at all. Mount Seir is in Edom where “Teman” and “Paran” are (Hab. 3:3). God certainly did not go out of Seir when He marched “out of the field of Edom” (Judg. 5:4). He did not go anywhere in Edom or out of it in Exodus or Numbers. He went around it (Num. 20:14-21). No “saints” came with the Lord at all when God came from Sinai (Exod. 20), let alone 10,000; they certainly did not sit “down at [His] feet” (vs. 3); and they were told to get away from the mountain or they would get shot (Heb. 12:20-21).

This shows you the length to which Conservatives, Evangelicals, and Fundamentalists will go to get rid of anything in the Bible they do not understand. They would reject all the verses if they felt like it (see notes under Matt. 4:4, 4:15, 16:18, 17:18; John 2:21, 21:22; etc.).

Watch these Bible-correctors when you ask them to show you where the big rain was (Judg. 5:4) when God “rose up from Seir” and came “from mount Paran.” And Sinai no more “melted . . . before the LORD” (Judg. 5:5) than Mount Paran or Mount Seir did. They are all Second Advent references.
