RRB notes on Psalm 74
Psalms 74 KJV
Maschil of Asaph.
1. O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? [a] why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture? [1] [b]
[a] Lam. 5:20-22.
[1] The psalm deals prophetically with “the times of the Gentiles” (Luke 21:24), which stretches from the destruction of Jerusalem in 586 B.C. under Nebuchadnezzar (vs. 7) and beyond the year 2008.
[b] Isa. 63:11.
2. Remember thy congregation, which thou hast purchased of old; the rod of thine inheritance, [c] which thou hast redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt.
[c] Deut. 32:9; Exod. 4:2-4.
3. Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual desolations; even all that the enemy hath done wickedly in the sanctuary. [d]
[d] Tribulation (Dan. 9:27, 11:31; Matt. 24:15).
4. Thine enemies [2] roar in the midst of thy congregations; [e] they set up their ensigns for signs.
[2] These “enemies” turn out to be all 190 (+/-) members of the United Nations against Israel (see App. 58, 80).
[e] Note the plural; not a reference to Temple worship (See note on vs. 8).
5. A man was famous according as he had lifted up axes upon the thick trees.
6. But now they break down the carved work thereof at once with axes and hammers. [f]
[f] Cf. vs. 3 – the destruction of the Tribulation Temple.
7. They have cast fire into thy sanctuary, they have defiled by casting down the dwelling place of thy name to the ground.
8. They said in their hearts, Let us destroy them together: they have burned up all the synagogues [3] of God in the land.
[3] Here, the KJV gives an advanced revelation that cannot be found in any Hebrew text or “clearer, more accurate” version. The KJV has inserted the word “synagogues,” even though when Asaph wrote the “Maschil,” there were no synagogues in the land. The Holy Spirit has given you a prophetic reference to the Tribulation. The Bible revisers and the commentators change the verse because they cannot understand it and do not believe what the Spirit of God wrote.
9. We see not our signs: [4] there is no more any prophet: [g] neither is there among us any that knoweth how long.
[4] The reference is to the Church Age (Hos. 3:4), when there are no signs given (A.D. 70 – present) to a nation that requires signs (1 Cor. 1:22) because it began with signs (see note on Exod. 4:28). If any Charismatic claims to be exercising the apostolic gifts (Mark 16:17-18; 2 Cor. 12:12), he is nothing but a bald-faced liar (Rev. 2:2).
[g] Lam. 5:20.
10. O God, how long shall the adversary [h] reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever? [i]
[h] Isa. 50:8; 1 Pet. 5:8.
[i] Rev. 13:5-6; Dan. 11:36.
11. Why withdrawest thou thy hand, even thy right hand? [j] pluck it out of thy bosom.
[j] See note on Ezra 7:28.
12. For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.
13. Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters.
14. Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness. [5]
[5] The reference is obviously to the “great red dragon” of Revelation 12:3 (see notes on Job 41:1, 41:31). In Ezekiel 29:3, Pharoah is given as a picture of this “dragon.” The problem is how could one of the heads of this dragon be “wounded to death” (Rev. 13:1-3) and that wound be converted into “manna” to feed a bunch of Jews in the wilderness? (See note on Exod. 16:20.) No one has ever explained the text, but in the Disney movie “Sleeping Beauty,” you’ll see a dragon being cut in the throat by a sword and bleeding “hoar frost” (Exod. 16:14; Rev. 12:14)!
15. Thou didst cleave the fountain and the flood: thou driedst up mighty rivers.
16. The day is thine, the night also is thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sun. [k]
[k] There is absolute light that is not sunlight (cf. Gen. 1:3).
17. Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter. [l]
[l] Mother Nature didn’t make either.
18. Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O LORD, and that the foolish people have blasphemed thy name.
19. O deliver not the soul of thy turtledove unto the multitude of the wicked: forget not the congregation of thy poor for ever. [m]
[m] Vs. 21, James 2:5, 5:1-9.
20. Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.
21. O let not the oppressed return ashamed: let the poor and needy praise thy name.
22. Arise, O God, [n] plead thine own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily. [o]
[n] Second Advent (Psa. 3:7, 7:6, 9:19, 10:12).
[o] The Antichrist (Rev. 13:1, 5-7, 17:3; Psa. 44:16; Isa. 37:23, 52:5).
23. Forget not the voice of thine enemies: [p] the tumult of those that rise up against thee increaseth continually. [6]
[p] Tribulation (Psa. 7:6, 8:2, 18:37, 21:8, 27:2, 37:20).
[6] Israel’s enemies have increased, just as I predicted in the Bible Believers' Commentary on Psalms, Vol. 2 (pg. 536 of 1993 ed.). See Appendix 58.

Note on Exodus 4:28 KJV
And Moses told Aaron all the words of the LORD who had sent him, and all the signs [o] which he had commanded him. [7]
[o] Deut. 29:3.
[7] This explains why in the New Testament you are told “the Jews require a sign” (1 Cor. 1:22). So tongues are not for a Christian at all – they are for a sign to Israel (1 Cor. 14:22).

Note on Ezra 7:28 KJV
And hath extended mercy unto me before the king, and his counsellors, and before all the king’s mighty princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the LORD my God [6] was upon me, and I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me.
[6] Notice the expression, “the hand of . . . God,” used here as it is found again in Ezra 8:18, 22. The “right hand of God” is used many times in the Bible to represent Jesus Christ Himself (Psa. 17:7, 20:6, 21:8, 45:4, 48:10, 108:6, 110:5, 138:7, etc.).
_______
Note on Job 41:1 KJV
Canst thou draw out leviathan [1] with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down?
[1] Apostate Fundamentalists and Conservatives convert Leviathan into a crocodile, a hippopotamus, an elephant, or (in Henry Morris’ case) a dinosaur. But they ignore the cross reference to Psalm 74:14 where Leviathan has multiple heads. The Holy Spirit clearly identifies Leviathan in Isaiah 27:1 and Revelation 12:9.
The animal described is aquatic. He would represent the reptilian, aquatic animals if he were a “cherub” (Ezek. 28:14). Consequently, the fifth cherub is missing (Rev. 4:7). The marine animals and reptiles have no representative in Heaven. They had one (Ezek. 28:14), but he lost his position (see note on Gen. 1:2). Chapters 40 and 41 are two parts of the Satanic trinity (see note on Num. 22:41). “Behemoth” is Satan the son; “Leviathan” is Satan the father. Satan the unclean spirit shows up in Revelation 9:11 (“Abaddon”).

Note on Job 41:31 KJV
He maketh the deep to boil like a pot: he maketh the sea [6] like a pot of ointment.
[6] The confusion over this verse among Medieval Catholics explains why Europe got rid of the Old Testament after Columbus. The conventional “wisdom” before Columbus was that if you kept going west, you would eventually come to the edge of the earth, where the ocean stopped, and drop off into the mouth of a great red dragon. When Columbus returned with the good news that there was no “edge” or “dropoff” or “dragon,” everyone treated the Old Testament as mythology. Everyone forgot that “the deep” had nothing to do with the Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, Arctic, or Antarctic Oceans. “The deep,” here, is “the deep” of Genesis 1:2, and “the sea” is “the sea” of Job 26:12. Its “waters” are over the second heaven (Psa. 148:4). It is inhabited by a “crooked serpent” (Job 26:13), which is a “dragon” (Isa. 27:1). That “great red dragon” is still upstairs (Rev. 12:3, 9) in a “Red Sea.” That “sea” is northward (see note on Job 26:7) between you and God (see note on Job 37:18).
_______
Note on Exodus 16:20 KJV
Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: [4] and Moses was wroth with them.
[4] For this remarkable “manna,” be sure to see Appendix 36 on the “Tithe.” The manna has to do with one of the heads on Satan. It is also connected with the origin of the “tithe” and (eventually) with the feeding of the Jews in the wilderness and cannibalism in the Tribulation (Isa. 6:13). The first time you saw the word tithe was in Genesis 14:20 in connection with Melchizedek at Jerusalem, where the cannibalism will take place.
